Edu Cardoso

Born in Avaré, country side of State of São Paulo, Brazil,  Edu Cardoso is a painter who uses different medias, but his forte is oil on canvas.

His father was a Naïf painter, and despite having classic artists like Picasso among his loved ones, he was always in love with illustrations of children’s books, associated with fascinating folk legends.

Edu’s works are often referred to as folk-pop surrealism, but the painter says that he sees himself much closer to another magic world , the world of fantastic realism.
