Zanini de Zanine, born in 1978 in Rio de Janeiro, is a prominent Brazilian designer and artist whose career is deeply influenced by his father, José Zanine Caldas, a renowned architect, sculptor and designer. Zanini grew up surrounded by the great architects of Brazilian modernism, such as Oscar Niemeyer and Lúcio Costa, which moulded his artistic vision and design style.

With a degree in Industrial Design from PUC-Rio, Zanini quickly established himself as one of the leading names in contemporary design. His work is characterised by an innovative and sustainable approach, using materials such as recycled wood, steel, glass and plastic. He specialises in creating unique pieces that dialogue with the tradition of Brazilian design, while incorporating modern and functional elements.

Throughout his career, Zanini has received several important awards, including the title of Designer of the Year by Maison & Objet Americas in 2015. His creations are highly valued and are part of the collections of renowned museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro (MAM-RJ), the National Historical Museum in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian House Museum in São Paulo, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Museum of Fashion and Design in Lisbon and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York.
