Founded in 2014, the Luis Maluf Art Gallery presents itself as a space to encourage and foster contemporary art. Its history mixes with that of its founder, homonymous to the Gallery. Luis Maluf has been in the market for over ten years and positions himself as an observer of the art scene, developing cultural projects, exhibitions and actions in the online and offline world.
In its two spaces, Galeria and Usina, Luis Maluf Galeria de Arte believes in the importance of showing, studying and encouraging the plurality of Brazilian culture and presenting the different visions and readings of Brazilianness and the world. For this reason, it has a collection of national and international artists who move between different languages. With works that point to the abstract and the figurative, using different techniques, each work in the collection reflects its author’s research.
It is understood as an environment in a disruptive and innovative process, with open doors for contemporary art and its surroundings. It fosters and promotes discussions and debates about the current cultural and artistic production and the approximation between people, art, and culture.
Working within its conceptual pillars, the Luis Maluf Galeria de Arte has presented projects such as Artist Residency, DriveThru Art, and workshops in partnership with Fundação Casa, besides receiving in its spaces works and exhibitions from different artistic fronts.
